- About Libiamo®
Libiamo® is an artistic and cultural platform dedicated to the creation and production of operatic projects developed through an active relationship between repertoire, staging, and audience.
Its work brings together artistic production, flexible formats, and a long-term perspective focused on supporting artists and expanding the circulation of operatic repertoire across diverse contexts.
Origins
Founded in Panama as an independent initiative, Libiamo® emerged from the need to create sustained professional contexts for opera singers and to explore viable models of operatic production.
From its earliest stages, the platform has focused on developing projects that support continuous artistic practice and encourage a more direct and conscious relationship with opera.
Panama represents the point of origin of the project, understood not as a fixed location but as the foundation of a vision that approaches opera as a living art form—adaptable, responsive, and in dialogue with its surroundings.
Beyond programming, Libiamo functions as an artistic development platform. Through ongoing production, circulation of repertoire, and work in small- and medium-scale formats, the project creates concrete professional opportunities for opera singers, supporting artistic growth, stage experience, and sustained professional practice.
Libiamo’s work is structured around reduced casts, flexible production models, and adaptable scales that allow artists to develop their work in varied contexts, gain experience, and build direct connections with different audiences.
Artistic Approach
Libiamo® understands opera as an artistic experience shaped by the dialogue between the work, the space, and the audience. Its projects are rooted in the operatic repertoire and developed through forward-thinking stagings, interactive performance formats, and creative processes that emphasize clarity, proximity, and shared experience.
This approach allows opera to adapt to a wide range of spaces—from non-traditional venues to theatrical settings—while maintaining artistic coherence and a clear identity.
With its operational base in Miami and an international outlook, Libiamo® develops operatic projects conceived for diverse cultural and geographic contexts. Its work is guided by a commitment to sustained growth, long-term collaboration, and the development of artistic networks that strengthen contemporary operatic practice.
Libiamo® is grounded in the belief that opera can be close, demanding, and meaningful when it is built through continuity, encounter, and a conscious relationship with repertoire and artists.
